Kate

Kate is six going on forty. She is an old soul. She is sensitive and bossy. Stubborn and sweet. Giggly and testy. Hot and cold.
A poem-
There was a little girl
Who had a little Curl
Right in the middle of her forehead
When she was good
She was very very good
When she was bad
She was Horrid.
-Thank you Mother Goose for summing up my daughter with such poetic clarity.
Anna Kaitlyn Marie is my very best helper in the entire family. She thrives on being my right hand man. She mothers everyone like she is in charge. Most of the kids let it roll off their back since she is younger than they are. But I have a few that will challenge her to the DEATH! It usually gets ugly so I intervene. But I haven't a doubt in mind who would be the last man standing. Kate is TOUGH!
Kate is going into 1st grade. She is reading, spelling and writing way ahead of her class. She loves to show off her skills. She is the first person to type an email address or a password into the computer for one of her brothers. She loves being smart and I think this chick will go far in the world.
Kate was adopted at birth and I was lucky enough to be there to witness her first screams. I cut her cord and held her moments after. I loved this baby long before she was born. I spent three months taking care of her birth mom before she arrived and I cherish that time I had getting to know her. I see so much of her in Kate. I am honored to be raising such a strong spirit.
Kate loves sports, dancing, singing, and reading. She currently takes Hip hop, Ballet and Jazz and just joined the swim team. She wants to take karate, and play soccer as well, but we had to draw the line.
Kate's best friend is Taylor. She was in her class last year and we just found out they will be in the same class again this year too.
I can't imagine this family without Kate. She is the greatest blessing.
