Jasmine

Jasmine is a fairy princess and lives in a fantasy world.  If you are lucky enough to be let in, sit down with a cup of tea, because she will talk and 'pretend' your ear off.

Jazzi is seven years old and going into 1st grade.  We held her back in preschool to let her emotionally mature and catch up to her age. We thought she would do a lot better and so far, I think we made a great decision.  She is bright and articulate and gorgeous.

She prefers to play alone, but if that becomes boring, Dalin is her BFF in the family.  Jasmine does all the talking and Dalin does all the repeating.  For example-

J- "Say, Help I can't find my slippers."

D- Help I can't find my slippers."

J- "now pretend the mean witch starts the slippers on fire.  Say, How dare you, You mean witch.  I am going to cast a spell on you."

D- "How dare you, You mean witch, I am going to cast a spell on you."

…and it goes on and on all day.  I would think that Dalin would get sick of her telling him what to say and how to say it, but he doesn't.  He loves it.  They make a great team.  If Kate were playing, she would have bit Jazzi's head off the first time she said, "Say"  So I guess the dynamics all work out.

Jasmine is more of a couch potato and quiet player than a physical, athletic child.  I find myself coaxing her to get some exercise often.  I hate to call her lazy, but she is lazy.  If I ask her to get me a diaper or run something upstairs for me.  Her response is always, "Can't Kate?"

Needless to say, She is enrolled in three dance classes and swimming.  I hope to teach good habits.  She loves dance.  Swimming is not her favorite.

Jasmine is a doll face.  She is a fantastic friend and a leader in her class.  As long as Kate isn't anywhere around, she runs the show.  We keep the girls apart in school so they can each have their own friends and find their wings in their own way.  We don't want them competing.

Jasmine is imaginative, social, friendly, happy and adorable.  We are so happy to have this fairy princess in our family.
