Dalin
Dalin was a 24 week preemie just like his brother Colby. He is delayed and has Cerebral Palsy, both legs and one arm are affected. Dalin is FUN, but also trouble. He gets wound up tighter than a two dollar watch and has a tough time coming down. He has difficulty doing things he doesn't like to do. School is not one of Dalin's favorite things. He has had a tough couple of years because he is learning to read now and has to work at it. He liked school a lot better when he was coloring, pasting, cooking and field tripping. Now that he has a teacher that pushes him and makes him do the things she KNOWS he is capable of…. It's not so fun anymore.
Dalin loves friends. He loves playing with Jazzi and together they cause more damage to my house and things than the other ten kids combined. I am not sure what it is about that duo, but they are hazardous together.
When Dalin plays, he is LOUD. When Dalin is upset he is LOUD. My house always sounds like a public pool and it is ALWAYS Dalin.
Dalin is smart. He repeats verbatim everything he hears. Of all the kids, he can bull shit his way through just about anything. He seems smarter than he really is, because he just repeats. But most of what he repeats he doesn't understand. Dalin's prayers are priceless, because he copies. He will repeat my prayers and pray for the kids and for patience and financial security and stuff like that. I love that boy!
