Ellie Brooke 18 months

Posted by Sandi in Ellie

AT 18 months-

You dance.

You jump.

You climb in and out of your highchair, but thankfully not your crib.

You love to swim and get better at it everyday.

You love to play with Parker.

You love music.

You love Signingtime and all music videos.

You love Charlie!  …a little too much sometimes.

You love to kiss.

You still have stranger danger and cling extra tight when there is somebody you don't know around.

You love to chase and be chased.

You love the park.  The slide is your favorite.

You say everything Parker does.  Admittedly, he is not the best teacher.

You are a tender heart.  If you get your feelings hurt, we all know it.

You love the car and don't make a peep while we drive.

You love bananas and eggs.

You love Charlie!  A LOT! (It's worth repeating)

You love Sailor.  You are a sweetheart with her.

You love to read.  Books are a new favorite.  You like books with kids and babies in them.

You love our morning walks.

You wear size four diapers, size 12-18  clothes and size four shoes.  You are a tiny little thing.

You HATE having your hair touched, combed, washed, conditioned, greased, looked at, or breathed on.

You don't like……

I honestly can't think of one thing you don't like.  You are so easy going and chill and happy.  What a breath of fresh air after your older brother.

I love you Miss Ellie.  You make my heart pitter pat!

Happy one and a half!

Since I think that very little is cuter than babies in a sink.  I am going to let you all enjoy these two while I work on my next post.

let me explain

Posted by Sandi in Ellie

It's hair-do day today.  I have left this hair in an absolute disarray for multiple reasons.

1-Bronson

2-Brandon loves the "Fro and a Bow" style

3-and most importantly this….

This was December 23rd…. I don't think enough time has passed for either one of us to forget.

It starts out okay.

She gets a treat.

It helps dull the pain.

But by the end…

That lollipop isn't doing squat!

Her hair-do is done.

Totally finished.

But she is so heartbroken she can hardly pull herself together.

This is my favorite.  She forces the "cheese" through her tears.

And then she starts all over again.

I hate breaking her heart.

Seems like being a mom (lately) is full of heartache.

Poor baby!  It's gut wrenching.

Just looking at this picture is making me re-think the entire thing.

Maybe daddy is onto something with the whole "fro and a bow" look.

Don't let this angelic face fool you.

She is full of it!

I don't know how we could live without her craziness!

We don’t need furniture

Posted by Sandi in Ellie

I took the little kids up to the new house today to measure windows for curtains.  Eliie enjoyed the wide open space so much, I think we should consider leaving the entire house empty and open a dance studio….  It would be so much cheaper than buying six sofas.

It’s the binky today….

Tomorrow it will be the toys.

Next week they will be stealing each other’s clothes, boyfriends, and makeup.

Happy Birthday Ellie Brooke

Posted by Sandi in Ellie, birthday

Where did the year go?  It was just yesterday I was packing my suitcase to pick her up.  Full of wonder and hope, I hopped on a plane to Houston to meet and bring home my daughter.  Look at this angel.  She had us at "waaa."  I fell in love hard and fast with this girl.

Welcome home baby girl

welcome kisses from Hadley

Ellie Brooke 4 days

I don’t know how we lived without her.  From moment one this little lady grabbed our hearts and wrapped us ALL around her little finger.  We are over the moon in love with this princess.

And today, she is miserable, sick, and just wants to be held and rocked and walked around with. So forget the cake for now, but I promise a decent birthday post with pictures as soon as she is feeling better.

Happy birthday little one.

I love you

Ellie Brooke

Ellie

She is still a perfect baby.

She isn’t walking and not even close. (YAY)

She pulls herself up to everything.

She eats everything.

She loves french fries.

She is done with the bottle.

She takes two great naps a day and sleeps all night.

She is fast as lightning on all fours.

If she is missing, look for her in the dogs food and water…  She’ll be there.

She still HATES hair-do’s but she looks like an orphan without one.

Still only two teeth.

30 more days of baby.

1st birthday’s make me sad.

I LOVE this baby so much!!
