This is the way it will work.
I am going to have a "favorites" giveaway once a month. The prizes will all be worth $250 and up.
I have a list of things that are favorite’s of people in this family.
Some of the kids’ lists of favorites include ipods.
Other’s include food.
Some are gift cards to the mall.
Some people’s favorite things include having the bills paid.
You get the picture.
I will post a list of everyone’s favorites tomorrow so you all know what is up for grabs.
I will take entries over a weekend.
On Monday, a random number will be drawn to select the winner and the prize.
After the winner is selected, that chosen person must answer a question that I pose to them BEFORE THEY WIN THE PRIZE. If they don’t answer correctly, they get a $50 dollar gift card to Amazon. If they answer correctly, they win the FAVORITE of the person that was drawn at the time they were.
Wow- It seems so complicated, but It really isn’t.
Let’s do a for example, in case you learn like I do.
Let’s say I get 39 entries on this post.
On monday morning, I let the kids pick a number between one and thirty nine.
Then we take those six numbers that they choose and put them in a bowl. (if you have entered giveaway’s on this blog, you know the way this works) Pickle then draws out of the bowl to determine our one winner.
At the same time, we draw a name of the cast members, on this blog. Let’s say for example sake, that my friend Simone is the winner of the drawing, and the name we draw out of the cast member bowl is Hunter.
Simone is playing for Hunter’s favorite.
I will call her and ask one question. Let’s say the question of this month is "What state was Colby born in?"
If she answers correctly, Illinois. She wins an ipod touch. If she doesn’t answer the question correctly, she gets fifty bucks to amazon, and Hunter’s name is placed back in the bowl. and we try again next month for a favorite.
How does that sound. If you read, you will have no trouble answering these questions. If you don’t read, you damn well better start.
I will have other random giveaway’s once in awhile, that don’t include the favorites. They are luck of the draw giveaways. But for this "Favorites Giveaway" I had to raise the stakes.
I hope this is fun, and not stressful. I feel like I have my very own game show!

- You must be willing to give me your phone number and allow the conversation to be recorded.
- If you don’t live in the USA. I am willing to change your gift to something you can use.
- You don’t have to give me your phone number until you are the winner.
- You may only be a winner one time in the favorites giveaway. Other giveaway’s and contests on this blog do not count.
- If you are selected as the winner, you must respond to my email within four hours with a time I can call you. If you do not, another winner will be drawn.
- I am not legally bound by these rules or this contest. It’s my blog, my party, and my game to change or tweek as I see necessary.
Tomorrow first thing, I will post the list of prizes and ask you all to leave one entry. I will take entries until Sunday night at 7PM Pacific.

My husband would KILL me. Like, really. This contest sounds amazing.
If we’re chosen as the winner, do we have to pose the answer in the form of a question? Or is there a buzzer/time limit? Do we get a final answer or the option to call a friend?

@Kay- Brandon said you will be timed. Twenty five seconds to answer the question. It doesn’t have to be in question form, you may phone a friend as long as you don’t hang up on me and you still give me an answer within the 25 seconds. How is that?

You totally amaze me! I have a husband and 3 sons (Anthony 18, Marcos 13 and Alex 10) none of them are “special eddies” and I know that I wouldn’t be able to find time nor the energy (…and definitely not the finances!) necessary to pack into a week what you do in a single day for your family.

What if you were to draw a name of soemone who doesnt live in the states and it is in the middle of the night? how should he/she/me respond in 4 hours??? do we get a couple more hours???
